Some masks, however, need unique eyes... The Creature From the Black Lagoon gets painstakingly finished eyes. |
Custom eyes can be made for ANY mask! Mr Hyde gets custom eyes, and eyelids! Custom Peepers for KING KONG! Jason's eyes for Hocky Mask Customization! Robert England style eyes for Freddy Kreuger. Natalie Trundy eyes for Lisa! |

My new, custom made eye blanks are made of thin, clear plastic, and they will easily fit to the shape of whatever mask they are put in. |
Working in reverse, I place the computer-designed irises and then apply veins, and finally, the realistically created sclera. (white part of the eye) . Then the lids are painted, either to match the mask's color, or simply made black, to simulate a mask wearer with black make-up on their eyelids. |
| These lids were painted to match the color, and texture of this Don Post Mummy mask. |

| I've found the problem with the majority of masks that have had eyes placed in them is that the eyes have no lids, and they stare blankly straight forward. This kind of presentation does not help the appearance of any mask. |

| These eyes are an example of how a Frankenstein mask can appear to look as though it were being worn by someone with black make-up on their eyelids. |

| I have been able to remedy this by creating my own eye blanks,(which have lids). I can position the irises so as to allow the mask to "look" wherever it should for the desired expression. This gives an otherwise static mask a feeling of dynamics and animation, which helps to "bring it to life". |
